Applicants need not reside for one year in Third District
The opportunity for citizens to apply for the open Third District Yavapai Community College Governing Board seat as been extended to 5 PM, Friday, December 16, 2017.
The extension of time was made by County Superintendent Tim Carter because of a mistake in the original announcement. The original announcement for this seat stated that an applicant had to reside in the Third District for one year. That was in error.
To be eligible to hold the seat, a person must be a registered voter in District 3, a United States citizen, at least 18 years of age and possess his or her civil rights. Neither a candidate nor the candidate’s spouse may be employed by Yavapai College.
There are already five persons applying for the position. Candidates who now apply will be interviewed Wednesday, and Thursday, December 21 and December 22 at the Yavapai County complex Cottonwood, Arizona. Anyone interested in the position should contact Mr. Tim Carter at the Yavapai County school Superintendent’s office. NOTE THE DECEMBER 16 DEADLINE.
