GOVERNING BOARD TO HOLD MEETINGS BY VIDEO CONFERENCING ON ZOOM

Next meeting Monday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m.; community will be provided zoom link to meeting

Yavapai Community College District Governing Board members will hold their next monthly meeting on Monday, April 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. via video conferencing.   The meeting will be held on Zoom, a remote conferencing service that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration.  A link to Zoom will be provided by the Governing Board at its cite, https://www.yc.edu/v6/district-governing-board/meetings.html.

The community may click on zoom and observe the entire meeting.

GOVERNING BOARD TO DISCUSS POTENTIAL FOR HOTEL AT SEDONA CENTER DURING TUESDAY’S PUBLIC MEETING IN SEDONA

Regular meeting begins at 1 p.m. at the Sedona Center on Tues, March 3, 2020, Room 34

The Yavapai Community College District Governing Board will hold its monthly General Public Meeting on Tuesday,  March 3,  1:00 P.M. The meeting will be held at the Sedona Center, Room 34.  Among topics listed on the agenda is one involving the potential for a hotel being constructed on College land at the Sedona Center.  (The Board may also discuss the potential for a hotel on Community College land on the Verde Valley Campus.)  You may view the detailed hotel report to the College in the agenda by clicking here.

The public may address the Board  at the beginning of the  meeting, according to the agenda published by the College. This is an opportunity for residents of Yavapai County to provide their input on any issue within the jurisdiction of the Yavapai College District Governing Board. Normally, a person is limited to speaking for three minutes.

Members of the Governing Board are not supposed to discuss or take legal action on matters raised during an Open Call to the public unless the matters are properly noticed for discussion and legal action. A citizen wishing to address the Board should complete a “Request to Speak” form, and give it to the Recording Secretary and be prepared to limit his or her remarks to the designated time (usually three minutes).

Under Arizona law, the public has a right to attend, listen, tape record or videotape these meetings. The public may not disrupt, but may speak during the call to the public at the beginning of this meeting if the call is on the agenda. See Ariz. Att’y Gen. Op. No. I78-001.

The Yavapai Community College Governing Board will hold a budget meeting Tuesday, January 21 beginning at 9 a.m.  The meeting will be held in the Rock House on the Prescott Campus.  The public may attend.

The Governing Board will hold its regular meeting Tuesday, January 21  beginning at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Rock House on the Prescott Campus.

SPRING SEMESTER FOR STUDENTS BEGINS JANUARY 13

First Governing Board meeting scheduled for January 21

Spring semester began for Yavapai Community College students on Monday, January 13.  It will officially end May 8.  There is a spring break from March 8 – 14. 

The first regular meeting of the Yavapai Community College District Governing Board is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rock House on the Prescott Campus.  That meeting will be preceded by a morning budget meeting at the Rock House that begins at 9 a.m.  Both meetings are open to the public.

Meeting to be held at the Chino Valley Yavapai Community College Agribusiness & Science Technology Center; Public invited to attend

The Yavapai Community College Governing Board will hold its regular Governing Board meeting this  Tuesday, November 12, 2019 beginning at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Chino Valley Yavapai Community College Agribusiness & Science Technology Center.

The Yavapai Community College Governing Board will hold a retreat Monday, September 9, 2019 beginning at 9 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Rockhouse on the Prescott Campus, Prescott, Arizona. The public is invited to attend. 

There is not an opportunity for the public to address the Board at this meeting.

The public has a right to attend, listen, tape record or videotape this meeting. The public may not disrupt, but may speak during the call to the public at the beginning of this meeting. See Ariz. Att’y Gen. Op. No. I78-001. (As noted above, there will not be a call to the public at this meeting.)

COMMUNITY COLLEGE PRESIDENT TO ADDRESS SEDONA CITY COUNCIL AT 4:30 JULY 23

To provide update and future plans for the Community College

Community College president Dr. Lisa Rhine will address the Sedona City County at its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 23, at 4:30.  According to the agenda, she will provide an update and share future plans for the College.

The Sedona City Council holds its regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 102 Roadrunner Dr. in Sedona. In addition, the Council also holds work sessions and special meetings. 

Meetings are webcast via livestream and broadcast on cable TV Channel 4 in the Sedona area.
